Perhaps even just chip away at one or two entries when you have 15-20 mins spare, which can add up to quite a lot of completed data after a few months at it. The key is certainly setting the base and building out from there, though, so it's never too late to start. Thanks, as always, for providing the pure musician's perspective to my marketing mindset!  @muz4now Thanks Stan, obviously that means a lot coming from such an open-minded and socially savvy independent musician as yourself. 100% agree on getting the foundation right from the start… or at least taking an evening to fix the categories that you want, so that you know where the gaps are and can collect future data with them in mind. OK. I have to admit 2 things: I consider you to be the consummate music business blogger/professional. And as such, I completely see the value of what you're saying.   At the same time as a musician with day jobs (yeah, more than one), I barely have time to build my list. So, initially, what you say here seems insurmountable. Don't get me wrong, I can see how it would be a payoff.   My take-home is that I need to input my list with this from the start, so that I don't have to go back and "fix" it later. Or ... I have to quit one or more of my non-music jobs. ;-)   Thanks for another extraordinary post and for your contributions to improving indie musicians chances of thriving.   playful blessings, Stan (aka muz4now)  Steve,

But the customer will only pay so much for a basic product, which is where the tiered levels come in to offer more value.  @gsalvadi Yes, the position of the artist will to some extent dictate how they price their work.
